Culture Bridges has launched the Fifth Call for International Cooperation Projects Grants for cultural operators based in Ukraine and EU for the implementation of joint projects that promote cultural and creative exchanges between Ukraine and the EU, and / or result in the development of original cultural products.
Culture Bridges is a three-year programme funded by the European Union (EU) to support the development of the cultural sector in Ukraine and to enable it to engage more effectively with cultural organisations and operators in the EU.
Objectives
Projects should address at least one of the following objectives:
- Raising awareness of the importance of culture for economic development and social cohesion
- Developing the knowledge and capacity of operators working in the cultural and creative sectors
- Stimulating greater participation in cultural activities by the general public
- Engaging under-represented or marginalised groups in cultural activity
- Encouraging cooperation between civil society organisations (CSOs), public sector organisations and private sector organisations operating in the cultural and creative sectors
- Exploring diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue through cultural activity
Sectors
International Cooperation Projects can be based around a wide range of the cultural and creative sectors, including:
- Architecture
- Archives
- Audiovisual (including film, video games and multimedia)
- Crafts
- Creative hubs and cooperation platforms
- Design
- Fashion
- Festivals
- Libraries and museums
- Media (including radio, television and online media)
- Music
- Literature
- Performing arts
- Publishing
- Tangible and intangible cultural heritage
- Visual arts
Funding Information
- Two sizes of grants are available for international cooperation projects under this call:
- up to €20,000 for smaller projects;
- up to €50,000 for bigger projects.
- The project duration should be between three and twelve months.
Eligibility Criteria
- International cooperation projects are open to individuals and organisations located in the EU and Ukraine. They may be:
- public and private cultural institutions
- local civil society organisations
- educational institutions (private and public)
- local government departments of culture
- Applying organisations must have the right to accept charitable donations directly in order to be awarded a grant.
- Note: Individuals (including registered entrepreneurs) cannot apply for International Cooperation Project grants.
- This call is only open to (informal) partnerships of organisations located in Ukraine and the EU.
- Single organisations cannot apply.
- One member of the partnership must apply on behalf of all of the organisations wishing to cooperate on the project, and will be responsible for signing and managing the contract, and managing the finances and reporting, but all members of the partnership must have appropriate legal status to receive charitable grants.
- EUNIC members, their head offices and/or their other-country offices are not eligible to apply for any of the international cooperation project grants.
