Culture Bridges has announced a Fifth Call for National Cooperation Projects to provide grants to Ukrainian organisations from at least two non-neighbouring regions of Ukraine for the implementation of joint projects in the cultural and creative industry spheres.
Culture Bridges is a three-year programme funded by the European Union (EU) to support the development of the cultural sector in Ukraine and to enable it to engage more effectively with cultural organisations and operators in the EU.
Objectives
Applications for this grant should address at least one of the following objectives:
- Raising awareness of the importance of culture for economic development and social cohesion
- Developing the knowledge and capacity of operators working in the cultural and creative sectors
- Stimulating greater participation in cultural activities by the general public
- Engaging under-represented or marginalised groups in cultural activity
- Encouraging cooperation between civil society organisations (CSOs), public sector organisations and private sector organisations operating in the cultural and creative sectors
- Exploring diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue through cultural activity
Sectors
National Cooperation Projects can be based around a wide range of the cultural and creative sectors, including:
- Architecture
- Archives
- Audiovisual (including film, video games and multimedia)
- Crafts
- Creative hubs and cooperation platforms
- Design
- Fashion
- Festivals
- Libraries and museums
- Media (including radio, television and online media)
- Music
- Literature
- Performing arts
- Publishing
- Tangible and intangible cultural heritage
- Visual arts
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount available per project will be €10,000. Grants will be awarded as accountable grants.
- The project duration should be between three and six months.
Eligibility Criteria
- National cooperation projects are open to organisations located in Ukraine. They may be:
- public and private cultural institutions
- local civil society organisations
- educational institutions (private and public)
- local government departments of culture
- Applying organisations must have the right to accept charitable donations directly in order to be awarded a grant.
- Important Rule: Individuals (including registered entrepreneurs) cannot apply for National Cooperation Project grants.
- The programme will provide grants to Ukrainian cultural organisations to carry out cooperation projects in Ukraine involving organisations from at least two separate (nonneighbouring) regions of Ukraine.
- Important Rule: Applicant organisations must be located in at least two non-neighbouring regions of Ukraine (i.e. which do not share the same border).
