The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking applications for its Central Valley Project Conservation Program and Central Valley Project Improvement Act Habitat Restoration Program Grants.
The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit applications from non-federal parties from which the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) will issue awards of grants or cooperative agreements through The Central Valley Project Conservation Program (CVPCP) and the Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA) Habitat Restoration Program (HRP).
The objective of this NOFO is to invite eligible applicants to submit applications for projects that benefit federally listed and other special-status species whose habitats and populations have been impacted by operation of the CVP.
Funding Information
- The number of financial assistance agreements awarded and amount of funding available is dependent on annual appropriations to the CVPCP and HRP and the number of successful applications. An estimated total of $4,800,000 is available for project awards.
- Of that, an estimated $1,270,000 will be available during both FY 2023 and FY 2024 through the CVPCP.
- An estimated $1,130,000 will be available during both FY 2023 and FY 2024 through the HRP.
- Reclamation financial assistance may range from $25,000 to $1,000,000 for individually approved projects.
