The UK’s Department for International Development is seeking applications for a program entitled “Health Research Programme Consortia (RPCs)”. DFID has committed to the production and use of high quality evidence, data and innovation to accelerate progress towards the Global Goals.
Funding Information
The maximum value range of each contract will be between £6m and £8m.
Areas
Following extensive internal and global consultation, the following areas were identified as being gaps and an opportunity for the UK to intervene, given relative strengths:
- Building stronger and more resilient health systems
- Improving the health of the world’s most vulnerable, including sexual and reproductive health, mental health and maternal, newborn and child health,
- Tackling infectious diseases DFID will conduct a competitive lotted procurement process covering the three areas above, with suppliers able to participate in one or more Lots.
DFID reserves the right to exercise its discretion and award more than one contract per Lot. Contracts will not be awarded equally across lots (for example 3 in each lot), but rather could be awarded as 3 in one lot, two in another for example:
- Health Systems (2 – 4 contracts);
- Vulnerable Groups (at least 3 contracts)
- Infectious Diseases (1 -2 contracts);
