Deadline: 14-Jul-24
Digicel Foundation is calling all registered non-profit organisations (inclusive of community-based organisations, faith-based organisations and public schools) to apply for an Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities (EPIC) grant!
EPIC was launched in 2012 to empower community-based organisations to create significant and sustainable impact by providing financial and technical support for projects that address various social needs.
EPIC is designed to empower community-based organisations with innovative projects that have a significant impact on communities across Trinidad and Tobago. The program typically focuses on funding projects that address critical social, economic, or environmental challenges and demonstrates the potential to create lasting positive change.
This year, EPIC will focus on indoor or outdoor projects from these five (5) thematic areas–Renewable Energy, Environment, Agriculture, Education, and Technology.
Funding Information
- Ten (10) NGO partners can receive up to TT$150,000 in EPIC funding.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only registered non-profit organisations can apply, which includes community-based groups, faith-based organisations and public schools. You must show proof of registration.
- EPIC funding must only be used towards the tangibles of the project. EPIC funding cannot be used to pay salaries, stipends, utility bills or any other recurring costs.
- The project must begin immediately after the grant is given and must be completed within 12-16 weeks.
- If your project is to extend past the 12-16 week timeframe, they expect that you immediately indicate the reason for the extension and provide a revised timeline for completion. Your request for an extension then has to be approved by the Foundation in collaboration with Shell Trinidad and Tobago.
- The organisation must have an active bank account in its name since the grant is disbursed via electronic transfer.
- An application is incomplete without the submission of its most current Annual Return and the organisation’s project will not be considered for funding.
- This edition of EPIC will only focus on those five (5) themes.
