Support Foundation for Civil Society is seeking applications for the Digital Transformation Fund Program to provide support to the region in order to eliminate the destruction experienced in the region after the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and severely affected the surrounding provinces and to support the well-being of those affected by the earthquake.
Support Foundation for Civil Society is implementing the digital transformation processes of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Turkey Mozaik Foundation in order to support capacity strengthening programs and grants.
Within the scope of the Fund, the concept of digital transformation is defined in the following ways:
- The ability of the organization to digitize its corporate infrastructure and workflows and make them operational, rather than transferring its activities to the online environment,
- The ability of the NGO to move its critical activities online, as well as to create hybrid models when needed (For example, many organizations have moved their volunteer work online during and after COVID-19, but there were problems with strengthening the relationship of volunteers both with each other and with the organization. Therefore, field activities and the fields of the organizations were affected by this situation.),
- To be able to produce the means/ways for the organization to go to the place it wants to reach more easily in line with its strategic plan,
- Understanding and applying digital tools for what purpose.
Purpose
- Each NGO that is entitled to be supported under the fund is expected to create and implement a digital transformation plan in line with its corporate goals. In the first three months of the grant program, which will last for a total of 15 months, guiding, informative and talent-developing workshops will be held for NGOs. In the next 12 months, NGOs will benefit from grants, mentoring programs, pro bono volunteers and various other talent development opportunities.
Priorities
- In the 2023 period, the Fund will support organizations that are active in the field and/or have started to work to provide support to the region in order to eliminate the destruction experienced in the region after the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and severely affected the surrounding provinces and to support the well-being of those affected by the earthquake.
- NGOs that will benefit from the grant program:
- Learning concepts and approaches such as free internet, software, open source, data that should be known about the digital world,
- Planning and implementation of digitalization processes in order to strengthen the organization in line with its corporate needs,
- In order to meet the digitalization needs, NGOs, experts, etc. working on the subject in the field. It is aimed to develop familiarity with the minimum level.
- Applications made to the Digital Transformation Fund are expected to focus on at least one of the following approaches:
- To strengthen corporate efficiency,
- Increasing communication with stakeholders,
- To develop income generating services and products,
- NGOs that need digital transformation in order to make their data, infrastructure and products available to different institutions and organizations.
Funding Information and Duration
- The total amount of the grant to be distributed to NGOs within the scope of the fund is at least 960.000 TL.
- The upper grant limit for applications to the Digital Transformation Fund is 120,000 TL.
- The duration of the digital transformation plan to be proposed by the organizations is expected to be a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Associations, foundations, cooperatives and other non-profit and organizations established in Turkey,
- Organizations that are actively operating in the field or working to provide support to the region in order to eliminate the destruction experienced in the region after the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and severely affected the surrounding provinces and to support the well-being of those affected by the earthquake.
- Organizations that have been actively working in the field as an institution for at least one year,
- Organizations with 2022 revenues between 40,000 TL and 4,000,000 TL,
- Organizations with experience, institutional capacity and vision in the relevant field.
- Professional chambers and aid organizations and social assistance and solidarity foundations cannot benefit from the fund. Other universities, companies, public institutions and local governments, structures without legal personality, etc. of the applicant organizations. Collaboration with them is possible and encouraged. Application and research centers of foundation universities are expected to submit their budgets when applying.
