The US Department’s Administration for Community Living (ACL) is currently seeking proposals for its Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) Program to support Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Research Collaborative.
The purpose of this program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act by generating new knowledge or developing methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technologies that advance a wide range of independent living and employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most significant disabilities.
Under this priority, one DRRP grant will be awarded to serve as the NIDILRR ADA Research Collaborative.
Funding Information
The estimated total program funding will range from $495,000 to $500,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Special district governments
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Others (see text field entitled “Additional Information on Eligibility” for clarification)
- Independent school districts
- City or township governments
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- County governments
- State governments
- Private institutions of higher education
- States, public or private agencies, including for-profit agencies
- Public or private organizations, including for profit organizations
- IHEs
- Indian tribes and tribal organizations.
- Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
