Applications are open for the 11th cycle of Dubai International Award 2016 with an aim to recognise and enhance awareness of outstanding and sustainable achievements in improving the living environment.

- Improving public policy based on what works
- Raising awareness of decision-makers at all levels and of the public of potential solutions to common social, economic and environmental problems
- Sharing and transferring knowledge, expertise and experience through networking and peer-to-peer learning
Award Categories and Value
- BestPractices Award:S.$ 30,000/- each Winner
- Best Practices Transfer Award: U.S.$ 30,000/- each Winner
- University Research Award:S.$ 15,000/- each Winner
- Private Sector Award: A Trophy and a Commemorative Certificate especially designed for the award.
- Personal Award: A Trophy and a Commemorative Certificate especially designed for the award.
Eligibility Criteria
The Award is open to:
- Government organizations or agencies; including bilateral aid agencies
- National Habitat committees or Focal Points;
- Multilateral Agencies (United Nations Agencies, World Bank, etc.)
- Cities, local authorities or their associations;
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs);
- Community-based organizations (CBOs);
- Private Sector;
- Research and academic institutions;
- Media;
- Public or Private foundations;
- Individuals are eligible for the Dubai International Award provided that they are submitting a specific initiative or project that meets the Best Practice criteria.
