The Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund (JHF) is currently seeking applications for its grants program to enhance Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe.
The award policy of the Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund is based on the principles of human rights and tzedakah. Tzedakah is not a privilege but a moral right. The aim of tzedakah is to establish a just society. These principles are embedded in the Jewish tradition.
Funding Information
The maximum grant request shall not exceed € 10,000 Euro
Eligibility Criteria
JHF supports organizations and projects:
- Building and ensuring the continuity of Jewish communities, in fields including
- culture, knowledge transfer and enhancement of the non material infrastructure
- Facilitating Jewish education
- Promoting mutual respect between people
Other requirements:
- Applications should be made for Projects starting after January 1st of the following year;
- Organizations can apply for a one-year project;
- Organizations can only submit one application per year. If an organization submits more than one application, the JHF will not take any of the applications into consideration and all applications will be deemed rejected.
- The geographic focus is Central and Eastern Europe;
- The JHF has the intention to inform the applicants about the Board’s decisions in the first weeks of December 2017.

Eligible Countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, and the three Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
