Deadline: 3 October 2016
The Elton John AIDS Foundation in partnership with the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and UNAIDS, is seeking applications for the LGBT Fund that will offer two types of funding opportunities for CBOs working with LGBT people. The opportunities are:
- Small Rapid Response Grants
- Larger Deep Engagement Grants.
The LGBT Fund seeks to improve access to HIV and STI prevention, care and treatment information and services for LGBT people in countries where they have limited access to HIV services and/or face stigma, discrimination and violence.
The LGBT Fund is building on the long-standing efforts of EJAF, OGAC and UNAIDS to end HIV and ensure no one is left behind. With its first award announced in July 2016, the LGBT Fund has established a Rapid Response Fund, to disburse small grants to community-based organisations furthering access to HIV services and providing protection from stigma, discrimination and violence for LGBT people.
