The Embassy of Canada in Venezuela is seeking proposals for its Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) which is a non-political program established by the Government of Canada around the world in order to promote the implementation of projects designed by non-profit non-governmental organizations.
The CFLI Program in Venezuela is an opportunity for cooperation through which the Government of Canada reaffirms its commitment to work with the Venezuelan civil society.
Themes
- Promotion of democratic values through initiatives aimed at:
- strengthening the social fabric and / or;
- conflict resolution, promotion of dialogue and negotiation.
- Promotion of human development and human rights, specifically in the areas of health, nutrition, justice and freedom of expression.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations from the interior of the country are strongly encouraged to participate in this call for proposals.
- It should be emphasized that the CFLI is not aimed at assuming any roles under the responsibility of the State institutions; it is rather aimed at strengthening them. Likewise, projects that pursue a good for the individual benefit are not in the interest of the CFLI. The Fund has no political purpose, nor it is intended for religious, ethnic or gender discrimination purposes.
Non-Eligible Organizations
The CFLI funding is NOT directed toward political parties or partisan political organizations.
