The Embassy of Canada in Vietnam has announced a call for proposals for The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) to seek small-scale, targeted local projects that contribute to the achievement of Canada’s priorities for international assistance.
Eligible Projects
- Empowering women and girls and promoting gender equality;
- Championing human rights, inclusive and accountable governance, democracy, peaceful pluralism, and respect for diversity;
- Promoting action on the environment, including water and climate change.
Funding Information
- The typical contribution is expected to be in the range of CAD $15,000-$35,000 for each individual project.
- Larger projects may be considered on an exceptional basis, with appropriate justification for use of funds.
Project Duration
All project activities must be completed between the date of signature of the contribution agreement and February 28, 2018.
Eligibility Criteria
- local non-governmental, community and not-for-profit organizations;
- international, intergovernmental, multilateral and regional institutions, organizations and agencies working on local development activities; and
- Canadian non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations that are working on local development activities.
