The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Minsk has announced a call for proposals for 2020 Small Grants Program.
Priorities
The submitted projects must be related to sectors of:
- Quality education – education at all levels, acquiring skills needed in the labour market and personal entrepreneurship, and training of pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff, equipping school institutions;
- Good health – health care with the emphasis on mothers and children, nutrition programs, education and raising awareness in prevention and health care, training and education of health-care workers, and equipping health facilities;
- Good governance and building civil society – reforming the public sector, management of public funds, support of rule of law and participation of civil society in democratic processes, building capacities at the municipal level and active participation of citizens in developing communities, reforming the security sector, activity of civil experts in international crisis management, and conflict prevention and support for reconciliation activities;
- Food safety and agriculture – introduce new techniques and processes in all parts of the value chain, including agricultural products, their marketing and sale, food safety, and job creation;
- Infrastructure and sustainable use of natural resources – water management, integrated management of water and other natural resources, protecting and restoring dwindling water resources, supply of safe drinking water, treatment and management of waste water, increasing environmental awareness, energy security and use of alternative sources of energy, sustainable development of living areas, increasing resilience to natural disasters including climate change, land protection, reversing land degradation and desertification, halting biodiversity loss, protecting and restoring ecosystems and their services, and rehabilitation of degraded ecosystems;
- Supporting creation of market conditions – supporting micro, small and medium businesses, introducing innovation, and job creation.
The proposals must be in accordance with the Strategy of the Slovak Republic for Development Cooperation for 2019– 2023. Project proposals which are not in line with the focus of this call for proposals will not be accepted.
Funding Information
- The maximum amount of the non-repayable financial contribution is maximum 10 000 EUR per project.
- A maximum number of the selected projects are limited by the budget allocated for this call for proposals which is 40 000 EUR.
Duration
The duration of each project is from 6 to a maximum of 12 months beginning from the date of the signing of the Agreement between the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation and the Final Beneficiary.
Eligibility Criteria
The call for proposals is open to registered legal persons: NGOs, non-profit subjects and local authorities.
