The Energy Programme Office (EPO), on behalf of EMA, has launched the Energy Resilience Grant with an aim to catalyse applied research and development (R&D) in industry-relevant areas which would improve the resilience of Singapore’s cyber-physical power systems and energy markets, through the use of technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Scope of Grant Call
- Domain A: Physical Resilience – Ensuring the resilience, reliability and efficiency of assets across the entire value chain;
- Domain B: Cyber Resilience – Safeguarding Singapore’s power system against external threats; and
- Domain C: Market Resilience – Securing the competitiveness of Singapore’s energy markets.
Eligibility Criteria
- This grant call is open to Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Research Institutes (RIs), public sector agencies, not-for-profit organisations and private sector companies. Research consortia comprising the above organisations are permitted.
- Proposals shall not be funded or be currently considered for funding by other agencies.
- Funding awarded cannot be used to support overseas R&D activities. All funding awarded must be used to carry out the research activities in Singapore.
- The project may include research collaborations with local or overseas organisations. However, contracting out the whole or substantial part of the research work is not permitted.
