The Canon is seeking applications for its Oceania Grants Program to support four more worthy organisations to further their impact.
Categories
- Educational Grant: Open to schools and other educational centres for children and adults alike.
- Community Grant: Open to groups or organisations that have a positive impact on communities, encompassing cultural and societal causes.
- Environment Grant: Open to not-for-profits and organisations dedicated to raising awareness of the protection of the environment or promoting sustainable practices.
- First Nations Grant: Open to any group or organisation that will have a positive impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and/or community.
Funding Information
- Canon Australia will consider your application if you are an eligible group or organisation and can demonstrate that the $5,000 ($2,500 in retail value and $2,500 cash) will be used to facilitate an educational, community, environmental or First Nations project that will benefit the Australian community.
Ineligible Costs
- Political organisations
- Sport organisations
- Requests from sole traders
- Requests from individuals
- Fundraising dinners or events
- Capital building, endowment, or debt reduction drives
- Requests from countries outside the scope of the terms and conditions
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be an Australian group, organisation or legal entity located in Australia (Applicant). Sole-trading entities and individual entries are excluded from participating in this Grant Scheme.
- Media:
- Applicants must be willing to speak with media and provide quotes for media outreach if needed.
- Applicants must not announce their win publicly (on website or social networks) until given the go ahead from Canon.
- Applicants must specify if they’ve spoken to media about their project before and if so, include who, what, when, etc.
Selection Criteria
- The top three finalists will be selected based on the environmental and social merits of their organisation, as well as the importance of Canon technology in ensuring their initiatives success.
