The European Union (EU) is seeking proposals for its Grant Scheme for Turkey – EU Business Dialogue (TEBD) to strengthen mutual knowledge and understanding between Turkish Chambers and their counterparts in the EU thus promoting the integration of European and Turkish business communities and ensuring a stronger awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey’s future accession to the EU in both Turkey and the EU.
Objectives
- To increase the capacity of Turkish Chambers so that they improve/add new services to their members,
- To increase opportunities of networking and exchange of best practices between chambers from the EU and Turkey,
- To enhance awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey’s accession to the EU in both business communities,
- To increase the participation of the business community in EU-Turkey dialogue, in particular in providing input to modernise the Customs Union between the EU and Turkey and move forward the EU accession process.
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between EUR 50.000 and EUR 150.000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Lead applicant
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person, and
- be non-profit making, and
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or Turkey or an eligible country according to the IPA Regulation , and
- For British applicants: Please be aware that eligibility criteria must be complied with for the entire duration of the grant. If the United Kingdom withdraws from the EU during the grant period without concluding an agreement with the EU ensuring in particular that British applicants continue to be eligible, you will cease to receive EU funding (while continuing, where possible to participate) or be required to leave the project on the basis of the General Conditions to the grant agreement.
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s), not acting as an intermediary, and
- be a member organization of TOBB , or
- be a local/regional/national chamber or union of chambers (established in an EU Member State or an eligible country according to the IPA Regulation3) represented by EUROCHAMBRES .
- Potential applicants may not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants if they are in any of the situations
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- Co-applicant(s)
- Co-applicants participate in designing and implementing the action, and the costs they incur are eligible in the same way as those incurred by the lead applicant.
- Co-applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria as applicable to the lead applicant himself.
- A lead applicant which is a member organization of TOBB must have at least one eligible co-applicant represented by the EUROCHAMBRES and a lead applicant represented by EUROCHAMBRES must have at least one co-applicant which is a member organization of TOBB (please see footnotes 4 and 5).
- Affiliated entities
- The Lead Applicant and its co-applicant(s) may not act with affiliated entity(ies).
