The European Union is currently accepting proposals from eligible organisations for its “EU Support to Health and Nutrition of the Poor in Urban Bangladesh” programme with an aim to improve and increase sustainable, integrated and comprehensive primary health care services delivery including nutrition for the urban poor in Bangladesh.
Priorities
- To increase coverage of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas.
- To improve comprehensiveness of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas
- To improve access to primary health care and nutrition service for the poorest in urban areas
- To improve sustainability of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between EUR2,000,000 and EUR3,150,000.
Location
The Action must take place in urban areas of Bangladesh
Duration
The initial planned duration of the action may not be lower than 30 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person
- be a Civil Society Organisation (CSO/NGO) such as non-governmental non-profit organisations, and private sector non-profit bodies
- Applicants from the following countries-
- Member states, in an official candidate country as recognised by the European Community and contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area,
- developing countries and territories, which are included in the list of ODA recipients published by the OECD-DAC (‘list of ODA recipients’)which are not members of the G-20 group, and overseas countries and territories covered by Council Decision
- developing countries, as included in the list of ODA recipients, which are members of the G-20 group, and other countries and territories, when they are beneficiaries of DCI
- member countries of the OECD in the case of contracts implemented in a Least Developed Country or a Highly Indebted Poor Country, as included in the list of ODA recipients
- comply with relevant legislationto be able to implement the Action
- have a track record in the implementation of health financing projects in the region
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- preference will be given to those applicants who will be able to provide an agreement with Municipalities of Bangladesh where the action will be implemented, or a plan to get this agreement.
- Potential applicants may not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants if they are in any of the situations
- The lead applicant must declare that the lead applicant himself, the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies)are not in any of these situations.
- The lead applicant may/may not act with co-applicant(s) as specified hereafter
