Fairtrade Innovation Fund is a grants program offered by Fairtrade Australia and New Zealand with an aim to strengthen the Fairtrade movement by supporting innovative ways of raising public awareness, and harnessing the powerful creativity of conscious consumers and Fairtrade advocates.
The purpose of the Fairtrade Innovation Fund is to support innovative activities that contribute to mobilising thousands of conscious consumers and Fairtrade advocates in communities across Australia and New Zealand.
Objectives
Specifically, the Fund will provide financial assistance to organisations or registered groups that, through the delivery of their activities, can demonstrate they will:
- Educate and create greater awareness in the Australian/New Zealand community of the benefits of Fairtrade
- Encourage Australian/New Zealand consumers to choose Fairtrade products as well as encourage their peers to do likewise.
Funding Information
- There is no minimum amount for funding.
- The maximum amount that can be applied for is AUD $2,000.
- The funding amount granted will be assessed on a case by case basis taking into consideration the determined impact of the activity and its alignment with the purpose of the Fairtrade Innovation Fund program. The availability of grant funds in any given funding period may also influence the outcome.
Eligibility Criteria
- An organisation or registered group whose values and mission are congruent with those of Fairtrade ANZ
- Projects and activities operated by for-profit businesses or government organisations will not be funded. Some social enterprises may still qualify based on size, the nature of the activity to be funded and potential reliance on such funding in order to deliver the activity.
- Projects and activities that do not align with the purpose for which the Fairtrade Innovation Fund was created cannot be funded.
