The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) is currently accepting proposals for its “Implementation of Good Governance Programme in Tanzania, 2017 Strategic Grants” to provide grants and capacity building services to Tanzania based Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
FCS has contributed immensely to the capacity strengthening of the civil society sector in Tanzania thereby (in) directly enabling CSOs and citizens become key driving forces for positively influencing democratic governance in Tanzania, ensuring delivery of quality services especially at grassroots and thus contributing to better quality of life for Tanzanians.
Grant Information
- This call for applications is for Strategic grant only.
- The grant size will be TZS 120,000,000 per year up to 3 years maximum TZS 750,000,000.
Programme Outcomes
- Local Government Authorities (LGAs) deliver improved quality services.
- Decision making and democratic processes better reflecting citizens’ rights especially those of marginalised groups, People with Disabilities, ethnic minority and women.

- Non-governmental Organisations (NGO)
- Community Based organization (CBO)
- Professional Associations
- Trade Unions
- Media Organisation
- Faith Based Organization (FBO)
- Cooperative
