FHI 360 is seeking applications for its “Citizens Act” Small Grants Program to support innovative quick-impact activities to address emerging needs through advocacy actions or targeted community development projects.
The grants will be issued under the Moldova Partnerships for Sustainable Civil Society (MPSCS) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Objectives
- Provide a rapid response to emerging and unanticipated opportunities for quickly solving of citizens’ and/or vulnerable groups’ issues.
- Promote specific changes in communities by making an active contribution to their development.
- Implement initiatives that ensure appropriate citizen oversight and carry out “watchdog” activities to improve accountability and transparency.
Grant Information
FHI 360 will provide up to 10-12 awards of amount between 50,000 – 190,000 MDL for a period of performance up to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be registered as a CSO in accordance with Moldovan law, established as nonprofit legal entity and be public service-oriented in purpose.
- Applicants should not be current recipients of another FHI 360 grant at the same time.
- Applicants should follow accountable governance procedures.
- Applicants should have relevant experience, demonstrated interest and cap
