NGOs “Struggle for Rights” with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine has announced a competition for projects “Human Rights Activities Fight For Right”.
Fight For Right is a challenge, it breaks down stereotypes about people with disabilities, it is a trivial event or initiative that draws attention to protecting the rights of people with disabilities or inspires people with disabilities to take action.
Thematic Priorities of Projects
- Detection and response to violations of the rights of people with disabilities, including during a pandemic.
- Mobilizing the community of people with disabilities to protect their rights.
- Search for and document violations of the rights of people with disabilities in the preparation of the Alternative Report on the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- Information campaigns, creative campaigns and inclusive products to support the rights of people with disabilities, including during a pandemic.
- Establishing cooperation with the authorities to strengthen the protection of the rights of people with disabilities.
- Support for the community of people with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic (legal, psychological, educational and training webinars, etc.).
Funding Information
The amount of support is up to UAH 25,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Public organizations that, according to the Charter, are engaged in the protection of the rights of people with disabilities.
- Individual entrepreneurs who will act in accordance with their NACE.
- Individuals.
Selection Criteria
- In the selection, preference will be given to projects that:
- bright, innovative, bold.
- initiated and implemented by people with disabilities themselves.
- aimed at developing the capacity of self-advocates, especially women and girls with disabilities.
- initiated and implemented by members of the national network Fight For Right.
- The project does not support the current costs of the organization (rent, payment for Internet services, telephone, etc.), purchase of equipment and humanitarian aid.
