The British Embassy in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan is now accepting project proposals for the 2019/2020 financial year (April 2019-March 2020).
This year the British Embassy Nur-Sultan is seeking to support projects that focus on promotion of increased budget transparency and accountability in Kazakhstan.
The Embassy is particularly interested in project proposals aiming towards the following outcomes:
- Increased fiscal transparency and accountability in Kazakhstan.
- Increased awareness and understanding of Kazakhstani citizens about the budget process, and increased opportunities for the citizens to participate in the budget process.
- Improved knowledge of the Parliament, Government, civil society and other stakeholders about the best international practice, including OECD’s best practice, on fiscal transparency and accountability, as well as greater public engagement in the budget process.
Funding Information
- Projects are funded for a single financial year running from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020, with no expectation of continued funding beyond this period.
- Maximum budget limit: £32,000.
Assessment
Bids will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Alignment with the above mentioned thematic priorities and outcomes.
- Outcomes are achievable within the funding period.
- Project design includes clear monitoring and evaluation procedures.
- Sustainability demonstrating that project benefits continue after the funding ends.
- Risk and financial accountability procedures.
- The organization’s safeguarding policies that ensure protection of beneficiaries.
- Overall value for money.
