The Australian Government is offering funds to support high quality arts or cultural heritage projects in regional Australia that participants and audiences can engage with.
The aim is to give community members living in regional or remote Australia the chance to participate in or attend an arts experience at a festival, or a significant one-off community celebration.
Funding Information
- The Australian Government provides approximately $1.3 million each financial year through this program.
Activities
Eligible activities can include:
- A parade.
- Performance.
- Workshop.
- Installation.
- Exhibition.
The program supports the presentation of arts and cultural activities that will enable people living in regional or remote Australia to participate in or attend an arts driven experience at a festival, or major one-off community celebration.
Funding will be available through annual or multi-year funding agreements, and will depend on the funds available.
There is no limit to the amount of funding you can apply for. However, you should keep in mind that the program seeks to deliver a diverse range of quality projects in regional areas.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- Be an Australian incorporated organization.
- Have an active Australian business number (ABN).
- Be registered for goods and services tax (GST) if required.
- Not have any outstanding reports, acquittals or serious breaches relating to any Commonwealth funding.
