The Goldsmiths’ Foundation has launched the Inaugural Grants Programme to support organisations that focus on vocational skills and training, working at the intersection of creativity and social change.
The ambition is to support a portfolio of organisations who represent change through development of technical and vocational skills, who wish to learn from each other and (further) realise the potential of the creative industries for personal, cultural and social transformation.
Aims
- This Goldsmiths’ Foundation aims to:
- Build capacity and resources for technical and vocational skills development in creative industries, especially within historically underfunded communities
- Realise the role that skills development, and creative people, makers and designers can play in addressing issues of social justice.
- Create the infrastructure for a more equitable creative industry sector.
Areas
- For this inaugural grant funding round, they are funding organisations working in the following areas:
- Craft
- Design
- Art
- Architecture
Funding Information
- Grant between £30,000 – £50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- They only support organisations that are one of the following:
- UK registered charities
- Charitable Incorporated Organisations
- exempt and excepted under Charity Commission guidance
Ineligibility Criteria
- They can’t fund the following:
- Individuals
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Community Benefit Societies
- Social enterprises
- Local authorities and councils
