The Government of Canada is currently accepting applications from organizations interested in receiving funding from the Social Development Partnerships Program – Children and Families for innovative projects related to early learning and child care service delivery.
Goals
The Social Development Partnerships Program is a federal grants and contributions program. It funds partnership-based projects. It supports:
- the development and use of approaches to address social issues and challenges; and,
- the development, exchange and application of knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities.
Grant Information
- The total amount of funding requested from ESDC does not exceed $1 million.
- If the proposed project extends over two fiscal years, the applicant breaks down the total cost of the project by fiscal years. The Government of Canada’s fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31 of the following year.
Eligible Projects
- The proposed project ends no later than March 31, 2020. It is not expected to start before January 2019.
- The applicant identifies key result measurement indicators and the relevant data collection mechanism(s) to be used.
- The applicant identifies one eligible partner for the project.
- The applicant identifies the following two activities:
- Development of a sustainability strategy
- Development of an evaluation plan for the project.
Eligibility Criteria
- The legally authorized representative(s) of the organization sign(s) the application for funding.
- The applicant attaches a document from the Canada Revenue Agency with the application for funding. The document includes the organization’s business or registration number. This information can be found on tax-related documents or CRA correspondence.
