The Embassy of France to Malaysia is launching the 2nd call for Malaysian NGOs/associations or local branches of international NGOs involved in environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
The 2023 call will target exclusively the area of biodiversity and wildlife conservation.
Presentation and Scope
- This calls targets projects carried out by NGOs or associations based in Malaysia and working at a local scale.
- Funding will be provided for one year.
- Awardees shall report to the Embassy on the use of the subsidy on a quarterly basis and upon expiry of the agreement.
Funding Information
- Requested allocations shall not exceed 6 700 € i.e., approximately 33 600 MYR (depending on exchange rate); grants will be awarded after signature of an agreement with the Embassy.
Grant Application and Evaluation Process
- Applications will be assessed by an internal committee set up by the Embassy, based on their expected impact in terms of environmental protection.
- Involvement of local communities, participation of young people and gender equality are highly encouraged;
- Co-funding by a Malaysian or international institution is a plus.
