Enabel is offering grants to Support for initiation into entrepreneurship and the structuring of female learners Kaloum-Cameroon-Mamou Women’s Empowerment Centers.
Objectives
- The general objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to the socio-economic integration of women / girls from the empowerment centers of Kaloum, Cameroon (Conakry zone) and Mamou.
- Specific Objective: Develop and implement a training and support program for 300 women members of the CAFs of Kaloum, Cameroon and Mamou, in the dyeing, sewing, fashion / design, culinary art, food processing and hairdressing.
Expected Results
The expected results are:
- The capacities of at least 300 learners are strengthened in terms of culture entrepreneurial, SME management and use of NICT;
- Simplified cooperatives are created and functional (produce and sell) in connection with the targeted sectors;
- Facilitation of access to finance and the market is ensured for at least 80% of cooperatives created;
- The capitalization of the achievements and lessons learned from the pilot project is documented.
Funding Information
- The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is 190,000 €. The contracting authority reserves the right not to award all funds available.

- Any request for a grant under this call for proposals must be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:

Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for grants, the applicant must meet the following conditions:

- Be a legal person;
- Be a public actor or be a private non-profit actor or a foundation;
- Be a legal person governed by private law whose profit maximization does not constitute the priority objective;
- Be a specific type of organization such as: non-governmental organization, public sector operator, local authority, incubators, international organization (intergovernmental).
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the (s) co-applicant (s) and not act as an intermediary;

- Have 4 years of experience in entrepreneurship (support / promotion, coaching, mentoring, development of business plans, market analysis): experience in the setting up files and facilitating access to financing to be demonstrated by examples;
- Having experience in facilitating access to finance for businesses would be an advantage;
- Have knowledge of the Guinean context or the sub-region;
- Having experience in socio-professional integration would be an asset.
- Co-applicant(s)
- When a partnership with a co-applicant (s) is mandatory, specify the requirements possible minimums relating to the type and / or the recommended minimum / maximum number of co-applicants to be associated with the action.
- The co-applicant (s) participate in the definition and implementation of the action, and the costs that (s) incurred are eligible in the same way as those incurred by the applicant.
- The co-applicant (s) must meet the admissibility criteria that apply to the applicant himself.
- Co-applicants must sign the declaration of the application for subsidies.
- If the subsidies are allocated to them, the possible co-applicants will become the beneficiaries of the action, with the beneficiary-contractor.
