HCI Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program with an aim to bring about change in underdeveloped and underprivileged communities through working with partners and pooling resources.
HCI Foundation is the corporate social investment arm of HCI, a black empowerment investment company that has its origins in the Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union.
To this end, building relationships with their beneficiaries, identifying their strengths and assets, visiting projects, and maintaining contact are vital components of outreach. The Foundation constantly strives to hold beneficiaries accountable for the effective implementation of practice and procedure, but they recognise the difficulties and ongoing challenges that this still present.

Eligibility Criteria
- The HCI Foundation encourages applications from registered public benefit organisations with a proven track record of implementing community programmes within the borders of South Africa.
- The program may fund religious organisations to implement a social service programme which benefits the whole community irrespective of religious affiliation.
- The program do not fund commercial ventures like sponsorships, golf days, conferences, exhibitions, fundraising dinners; political organisations, profit making organisations (such as Closed Corporations and Companies) and endowment funds.
