The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking applications from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Maternal and Child Environmental Health Network”.
The purpose of this program is to decrease maternal and child morbidity and mortality associated with pre-and post-natal environmental exposures. One organization will be funded that will implement and support a network of national and regional teratogen information service (TIS) counseling centers.
This program is intended to be a resource for women of reproductive age, their partners and healthcare providers, with an emphasis on vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations.
Funding Information: The estimated total program funding is $1,200,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. 450b) is eligible to apply.
- Foreign entities are not eligible for HRSA awards, unless the authorizing legislation specifically authorizes awards to foreign entities or the award is for research.
- This exception does not extend to research training awards or construction of research facilities.
