Applications are now open for the Healthy Communities Grant to help Eurobodalla community groups run activities and workshops aimed at improving the health and wellbeing within their community.
Grants for healthy community activities in 2025 are available to eligible not-for-profit community groups, with consideration given to projects which assist with building healthier and stronger communities.
Funding Information
- Grants are generally up to a maximum of $500.
Some examples of costs the grant can be put towards include:
- hiring or purchasing a new piece of equipment
- promotion of an event or an activity
- running an event or activity
- volunteers’ donations
- workshops, classes, or sessions
- training staff
- facilitation fees.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to apply for the Healthy Communities Grant, applications must meet all the following eligibility criteria:
- Your group needs to be not-for-profit and either incorporated or able to prove that they are a bona fide Eurobodalla based community group or service.
- Eurobodalla Shire Council accepts no responsibility for activities conducted through its’ grant programs.
- Your group or service can contribute some financial support or volunteer labour to the activity.
- Your group or service can show that it has adequate insurance coverage for the activity.
- Your group or service does not have any outstanding debts to Council.
- The funding must be used for the project described on the application form and take place in the Eurobodalla Shire in 2024. Funds are not transferable to another organisation or project.
- Your group or program must use the grant to achieve one or more of the following outcomes within your local community:
- make a positive contribution to the community
- encourage people in the Eurobodalla to be healthy and active
- celebrate cultural diversity and inclusion
- provide opportunities for volunteering and/or social interaction
- improve access to information, a service or a facility
- improve community safety and wellbeing
- improve access and/or encourages people with disability to participate
- teach or develop a new skill (workshop or seminar)
- build community resilience.
Ineligible
- Grant funding is not available for:
- rental costs, i.e. room or venue hire
- annual running costs e.g. insurance, incorporation fees
- improvement works on private property
- individuals
- retrospective projects, that is your activity must occur after the grant has been issued
- wages.
