The Heartefact Fund has announced its Boost Grant Program, designed to support the empowerment of well-established cultural and artistic organizations in Serbia. This program offers flexible financial assistance to help strengthen organizational capacities, support long-term strategic development, and improve overall stability.
The Boost Grant is part of the broader CfD project, which aims to strengthen the independent cultural sector so it can play a meaningful role in promoting social cohesion and tolerance at the local level.
Support under this call will be awarded to a maximum of six cultural and artistic organizations. The objective is to help these organizations improve their internal structures and resilience through ongoing development and effective implementation of their goals.
Each selected organization may receive up to CHF 60,000, distributed over three years, with a maximum of CHF 20,000 available annually. This funding is intended to address priority needs and enhance the operational, programmatic, and financial strength of the selected organizations.
The expected outcome of this initiative is to see greater organizational stability among cultural and artistic actors. By strengthening their capacity, these organizations will be better positioned to grow, fulfill their missions, and contribute to broader social dialogue and awareness.
Furthermore, the CfD project aims to support contemporary creativity and cultural expression that encourages critical thinking and engages with socially relevant issues affecting local communities.
Eligible activities for funding may include creating long-term development strategies, setting program priorities aligned with the organization’s mission, building internal capacities such as team and management development, and researching sustainable funding mechanisms in line with the organization’s long-term vision.
Eligible applicants include cultural and artistic organizations, collectives, initiatives, and legal entities involved in arts and culture. This also includes independent foundations and endowments. Applicants must be legally registered with Serbia’s Business Registers Agency and must have their headquarters located in any municipality, city, or village within Serbia. Preference will be given to organizations based outside of Belgrade and other major urban centers.
In addition, applicants must demonstrate at least five years of experience in implementing cultural and artistic projects and must show a visible impact on relevant cultural, social, or political issues.
Certain entities are not eligible to apply. These include applicants or individuals associated with discriminatory, radical, or violent behavior; unregistered applicants; those who have failed to meet tax or legal obligations; religious organizations; individual applicants; cultural institutions founded by state or local governments; foreign organization representative offices; and organizations currently receiving support under the CfD project.
