Do you or someone you know have a project in mind that would contribute to arts and culture in the Hinchinbrook Shire? Applications for funding through Hinchinbrook Shire Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Program are now open.
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is delivered as a partnership between the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and eligible local councils across the state.
Hinchinbrook Shire Council's RADF program promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions. RADF invests in local arts and cultural priorities, as determined by local communities, across Queensland.
Eligibility Criteria
- Resides within Hinchinbrook Shire;
- Professional arts and/or cultural qualifications attached;
- Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN);
- Have devoted significant time to arts and/or cultural practice;
- Have been recognized as a professional by my peers;
- Experienced in holding public exhibitions or given public performances (not as part of a competition);
- Have works held in public collections;
- Have won significant national and/or international prizes or awards;
- Public discussions and/or articles have been written or held regarding my work;
- Have been commissioned or employed on the basis of art skills and/or earning income from sales of artwork;
- Member of a professional association (or associations) as a professional artist;
- I am an artist whose artistic or cultural knowledge has been recognized as professional by peers or the cultural community;
- I am an artist whose artistic or cultural knowledge has developed through oral traditions;
- Be not-for-profit organization or group (Council may request the submission of certificate of incorporation or other documentation to demonstrate this criteria) if applying as a group;
- Submitted previous RADF acknowledgment forms;
- Demonstrate how the project will directly benefit arts and culture in the Shire; and
