CHABAHIVA Trust is happy to announce an open call for HIV/AIDS funding applications specifically for Nonprofit Organisations, and Community Based Organisations based in South Africa.
CHABAHIVA Trust is a social investor that supports HIV programmes, projects, or initiatives with the intention to develop the community. The Trust maintains a strict policy of not funding any religious content or activities. The funding support is solely dedicated to supporting initiatives that align with the mission to address the HIV/AIDS crises and strengthen NPOs through organisational development and financial contributions. This ensures that the resources are used to create sustainable, impactful change in the communities they serve, without endorsing or promoting any specific religious practise or beliefs.
Organisations must be in the following provinces: Gauteng, North West, Eastern Cape.
Funding Information
- Funding Amount: up to ZAR 250,000 per organisation

Eligibility Criteria
- Interested organisations must align to the following eligibility criteria:
- Focused on HIV Prevention and Care programmes such as:
- Peer Education
- HIV, Testing, and Counselling
- Prevention programmes for people living with HIV and their partners
- Prevention programmes for people who are at high risk of HIV infection
- Treatment programmes with key population groups
- Orphaned and Vulnerable Children
- Registered NPO in South Africa and operating in either Gauteng, North West, or Eastern Cape provinces.
- Must have a clear work/programme plan for the grant application period
- Must be operating between 0 – 10 years
- Support SD3 (Good health and wellbeing)
- The following documents must be attached to your application:
- NPOs latest annual report
- NPOs latest audited financial statements
- NPOs 12 months management accounts (01 July 2023 – 30 June 2024)
- NPO registration certificate
- NPOs latest tax clearance certificate
- NPOs list of Directors, including a brief 2-page CV of each director
