The Somerset Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its HPC Community Fund Cost-of-Living Crisis Special Round to community groups and organisations who work in places that are impacted by the Hinkley Point C (HPC) development.
Funding Information
- You may apply for up to £5,000 in this grant round.
What do they want to Fund?
- They are looking to fund organisations in Somerset, excluding BANES or North Somerset with a turnover that do not exceed £100,000 whose communities have been impacted by the HPC development as well as the cost-of-living crisis.
- You will need to show:
- How your community has been affected by impacts of the HPC development
- What additional pressures your group or the community accessing your services are facing as a result of the cost-of-living crisis
- How a grant from the HPC Community Fund would help your organisation to manage the immediate effects of the cost-of-living crisis and continue to improve community wellbeing and quality of life in your communities
What they cannot Fund through the HPC Community Fund?
- Individuals or sole traders
- Projects that are not charitable
- Projects that are primarily for the promotion of any one faith group
- Projects that primarily concern animal welfare
Eligibility Criteria
- You can apply for funding from this round of the HPC Community Fund if:
- You represent a registered charity or charitable incorporated organisation or
- A community group with a constitution or
- A community amateur sports club or
- A community interest company limited by guarantee or
- A community benefit society or
- A statutory organisation, like a parish council or a school and
- You are able to demonstrate a charitable purpose
- Your organisation or community group usually has an annual income under £100,000
- You are able to demonstrate how your community has been impacted by the development of Hinkley Point C
