Deadline: 10-Jan-2025
Funding is now available from the Hinkley Point C Community Fund Small Grants Programme for projects, schemes or initiatives that will mitigate residual and intangible impacts of the Hinkley Point C development and associated projects, improve community quality of life and wellbeing in addition to maximising the potential benefits of the construction.
Funding Information
- Grant size: £20,000 over 3 years, or up to £10,000 if project is 1 year
Eligibility Criteria
- They can only consider your group for a grant from this fund if you meet the minimum standards and need money for an area impacted by HPC.
- The minimum standards cover things like:
- the types of groups they can give a grant to and how they expect them to be run
- how they expect groups to manage their finances
- how groups keep people safe.
- They’re more likely to give you money if your group is:
- in communities that have experienced bigger impacts from Hinkley Point C
- supported by many people in the wider community
- clearly addressing the impacts of HPC, or making the most of the opportunities it creates
- working closely with other organisations to make sure everyone can benefit
- offering good value for money
- thinking about what will happen after the funding ends.
- Charities, including charitable incorporated organisations (CIO), can apply if they have at least 3 unrelated trustees registered with the Charity Commission.
- Community groups, or unincorporated associations can apply if they have a governing document that includes charitable aims benefitting the wider public.
