The Denver Human Services (DHS) has announced Human Together Community Grants funding opportunity in response to community conversations they held with residents and community partners to learn how best Denver Human Services can support communities.
Goal
- The primary goal of this funding is to make strategic investments in the Denver community, while empowering them to develop innovative strategies to address pressing needs. All funds will be used to support community organizations and residents of Denver.
Priorities
- Youth: Social and emotional community-based youth violence prevention programs
- Resilient Communities: Community-based behavioral health supports to increase access for the health, safe, and resiliency of Denver residents
- COVID-19 Disparities: targeted services and supports for individuals disproportionally impacted by COVID-19
- Equity and Access in Workplace: community organization capacity building
Funding Information
- An organization may request up to $10,000

Funds will be distributed in two payments:
- The first payment will be issued at the beginning of the grant term
- The second payment will be issued after the midterm report is submitted and approved
- The mid-term report will be due on Monday, October 3, 2022
- A signed acceptance letter and invoice coversheet will be required to issue payments
- Total indirect costs cannot exceed 10% of direct costs
- This funding is not ongoing, the grant term is June 6, 2022 to December 31, 2022
- A final report will be due Monday, January 9, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be registered as a 501(c) (3) organization or have a fiscal sponsor
- Operating budget may not exceed $1,000,000
- Organization must be in good standing with the State of Colorado
- Organization must be located in Denver
- The majority of activities must be within the City and County of Denver, primarily benefitting the residents of the City and County of Denver
- Must be able to complete a midterm and final report on grant activities and budget
- Previous Human Together awardees are eligible to apply.
