Deadline: 19-Jun-25
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Hungary is inviting applications for its grant programme designed to support local organizations and civil society groups engaged in humanitarian efforts.
The grants are intended to complement ongoing projects that address pressing migration-related challenges, particularly those affecting refugees and vulnerable individuals in transit.
This funding opportunity seeks to strengthen the capacity of local actors—such as NGOs, local authorities, and community-based groups—by providing them with financial support to implement small-to-medium-scale projects.
Eligible initiatives include those focused on humanitarian response, integration of migrants and refugees, capacity building for local service providers, creating awareness about migrants’ rights, and fostering social cohesion within host communities.
Proposals should clearly demonstrate how they contribute to the broader humanitarian response and align with IOM Hungary’s strategic priorities.
Grant amounts typically range from USD 50,000 to USD 300,000, depending on the project’s scope and alignment with IOM objectives.
Applications must be submitted in English through the official IOM Hungary portal and adhere to the prescribed format. Each submission is reviewed carefully to assess its feasibility, sustainability, and potential impact on local stakeholders.
Successful applicants will receive funding to support their project activities over a designated implementation period.
Purpose
