The Cigna Group Foundation has launched the Improving Youth Mental Health Grant Program to addresses the critical need for solutions to support kids and teens.
This commitment includes support for those who care for youth in everyday settings and interactions, including parents, caregivers, and youth service professionals, such as educators and therapists.
Goals
- They seek to support nonprofits delivering programs for underserved youth and their families. For the second year of the three-year commitment, they will focus investment in evidence-informed approaches that demonstrate strong alignment to one of these grant program goals:
- Increase reach of programming that fosters social-emotional skills and well-being
- Focus: conflict resolution
- Increase the number of parents, caregivers and youth service professionals who feel equipped to support
- Focus: family-school partnerships
- Increase pathways to mental health intervention and access to care
- Focus: trauma-focused services
- Increase reach of programming that fosters social-emotional skills and well-being
Funding Information
- Grant range: $100,000–$150,000 for One-year term
Eligibility Criteria
- However, organizations may only be funded for one active period of time. In other words, if you have a current grant from The Cigna Group Foundation, you may apply for a second grant. If approved, the new grant cannot start until the first grant ends.
- They consider proposals from U.S.-based organizations that are executing projects outside of the United States.
