The Innovation Fund Denmark’s (IFD) is currently seeking applications for its program entitled “Grand Solutions” to invest in innovative ideas with significant potential to create knowledge, growth and employment in Denmark.
Grand Solutions projects are characterised by their high risk profile and focus on ambitious results with high value creation whether in the form of new knowledge, improvement of/or new processes, systems, products or solutions to societal challenges.
Innovation Fund Denmark focuses on results and solutions creating value to society. Innovation Fund Denmark wishes to facilitate cross-investments in knowledge institutions and companies – private as well as public. The investments should address tangible challenges and innovation needs of society and companies.
Thematic Funding
IFD has allocated approx. DKK 517m for Grand Solutions thematic calls, divided across the calls listed below:
- Bioresources and relations between Food, Health and Lifestyle: DKK 130m
- Energy: DKK 103m
- Environmental technology: DKK 25m
- Space technology and drone research: DKK 25m
- Strategic growth technologies: DKK 120m
- Health and clinical research: DKK 75m
- Welfare and Education: DKK 29m
- Innovation in the area of knowledge work: DKK 10m
Eligibility Criteria
- Any legal entity (such as an enterprise, a research institution or a public institution) in or outside Denmark, directly involved in the project activities, is eligible to apply or participate and receive funding from IFD.
- One of the project participants must act as the applicant, and the project participants must in addition specify the person who, during the application process, acts as contact person between IFD and the project participants.
