Bids are open for the Inspire Egypt Programme Fund to provide support for the voluntary and social entrepreneurship sectors in Egypt, through supporting innovative initiatives.
All the British Embassy Programme Fund projects must clearly demonstrate how they:
- Support the priorities
- Deliver value for money (VfM)
- Meet OECD criteria for Official Development Assistance (ODA) funding and aim to complete 90% of the budget spend by the end of December 2017
- Demonstrate gender equality.
- Comply with NGO law (if relevant)
Priorities
- Building leadership capacity for volunteer, start – up and civil society organisations, e.g through trainings, mentoring and creating forums for collaboration.
- Encouraging volunteering and community engagements to address social challenges e.g creating platforms to connect volunteers with causes, volunteers’ trainings or building the capacity of community organizations.
- Supporting start – up, volunteer and civil society organisations working in other British Embassy priority areas e.g improving the business environment, improving skills & jobs for women and men and prompting human rights.
Funding Information
The overall fund available for Inspire Egypt projects amounts to £75k for FY17/18
