INVENTO has launched a grant program “The Marathon of Justice” to provide the necessary support to non-governmental organizations and to the initiative groups in the field of justice.
Through its activities, INVENTO supports non-formal education to strengthen the capacity of young lawyers. INVENTO aims to encourage and support actors in the field of justice by strengthening human capacities.
INVENTO is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization, created in 2011, which has the mission to educate, inspire, inform and assist both organizations and individuals in creating, improving and maintaining a continuous development of society.
Project Objectives
Project proposals should address one of the following areas of intervention:
- Increasing transparency in the field of justice;
- Increasing the professionalism of persons involved in the performance of justice;
- Improving institutional management in justice;
- Developing a culture of intolerance against the phenomenon of corruption in the field of justice;
- Promote an alternative dispute resolution system;
- Ensure effective respect for human rights in legal practices;
- Increase the level of legal culture of people in socially vulnerable categories.
Funding Information
- An applicant may submit one file for the Grant Program – the Marathon of Justice. The maximum amount requested may be $ 2000, and the minimum amount is not provided. Project activities will take place between October 2018 and July 2019.
- The results of the mini-grant contest will be announced on October 10, 2018.
Eligibility Criteria
The Mini Grants Competition – The Marathon of Justice is open to organizations / initiative groups in the field of justice all over the Republic of Moldova. Only requests that meet the following eligibility criteria will be considered:
- Country of origin: Applicants must be registered / resident on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
- Organizational status: The applicant must be a non-governmental, non-profit organization, or initiative group. Initiative groups must have at least one project implemented by the date of application.
- Governance: Applicants must have an official decision-making structure (eg a board / director) who can assume legal responsibility for the administration and use of funds.
- Funding status: Applications from organizations already receiving funding from the Freedom House Foundation in Moldova will not be accepted.
