The Iran Heritage Foundation (IHF) is seeking applications for its Grants Programme for 2019.
The Iran Heritage Foundation is a non-political UK registered charity with the mission to promote and preserve the history, languages and cultures of Iran and the Persianate world. The objectives of the Foundation are achieved by organising and supporting activities of cultural or scholarly merit. IHF programmes include sponsoring teaching posts and fellowships at universities and museums, giving grants for academic research and cultural activities, and organising regular events and conferences, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Grant Categories
- Grants for academic research activities
- The Foundation will consider applications to support academic projects concerned with any brand of Iranian studies. The subjects covered include art, archaeology, architecture, history, and language. Grants may be available for research, travel, conferences and workshops.
- Grants for contemporary arts
- The Foundation will consider applications to support projects connected with contemporary arts, such as photography, theatre, film, music, art, and exhibitions.
Grant Information
- The maximum award for both academic and contemporary arts projects is £3000.
- For amounts less than £1000 only one reference is required. For grants above £1000 two references are required.
Criteria
- IHF does not award grants for publications.
- Grantees MUST have a bank account in the UK.
- Awards cannot be carried over from one calendar year to another.
- Referees cannot be part of the project for which support is requested and should not be a beneficiary of the grant. Where possible, referees should be from a different institution.
- Members of IHF sub-committees cannot be referees.
- It is the responsibility of the applicant, to ensure that IHF receives the application and references by the deadline.
- All references must be sent directly from the referee’s email address or on headed paper.
