The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India and Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of the Republic of Korea invite Indian and Korean scientists / researchers to submit proposals for joint research projects.
The Korea-India Joint Program of Cooperation in Science and Technology facilitates bilateral cooperation between scientists and researchers from the two countries by way of joint R&D projects and technical missions. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology of Government of India and Ministry of Science and (MSIT) of the Republic of Korea are the key agencies dedicated to the implementation of the program in India and the Republic of Korea (South Korea). This Call for Proposals is to provide every duly applicants with the detailed information and procedures for the bilateral cooperation program.

Funding Information
- On the Korean side, MSIT’s tentative funding amount for each project would be approximately 40,000,000 won per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Program is open to researchers, scientists, institutions located in India or the Republic of Korea that are engaged in advanced research in one or more of the subject areas listed above. DST and National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF, an affiliated organization of MSIT) will conduct parallel review of the applications respectively based on the agreed criteria.
- On the Indian side, project proposal must include the name of one Principal Investigator (PI) and a Co-Principal Investigator (preferebly). The PI and Co-PI are responsible for submitting annual scientific and financial reports in order to ensure continued funding; each project will be funded for a period of three years barring failure to adequately report on or complete project activities. PI and Co-PI are also responsible for the technical and administrative coordination of their projects. PIs and other investigators should either be scientists, researchers or faculty members regularly employed by governmentrecognized universities, academic institutes, national research and development laboratories or institutes. Neither PI should be retired or planning to retire during the proposed period of the project.
- Please note that on the Indian side applicant already implementing two projects funded by the International Division of DST is not eligible to submit the project against this call.
- On the Korean side, Researchers affiliated with institutions or organizations in Korea are eligible to apply.
