Deadline: 30 June 2017
The Kalliopeia Foundation is seeking Letter of inquiry for its Grant program to create a future where universal spiritual values form the foundation of how they care for their common home. To accomplish this mission, Kalliopeia provides financial resources to US-based organizations and projects whose work is rooted in interconnectedness, empathy, stewardship, service, and reverence for nature, and who are implementing these foundational values into projects with the potential to create lasting change.
Focus Areas
- Spiritual Ecology
- Indigenous Cultures
- Note: The majority of grant support goes to several Native-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations who distribute funds to a broad range of mostly grassroots projects throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. By Native-led, the foundation means that they focus on supporting projects whose leadership and governance are primarily Indigenous.
- Soul In Society
- Media
- Note: The foundation makes project support grants for media projects that have a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor. Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $75,000, depending on the size and reach of the project.
Funding Information
First-year grants range from $5,000 to $35,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the United States that are working domestically.
- Organizations with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor are also eligible to apply.
- The Foundation does not support: Individuals (even with a fiscal sponsor), private non-operating foundations, organizations outside the US, or large, institutional nonprofits (with the exception of an internal program that may not be otherwise funded, for example within a university).
