Kent Community Energy Grant: £3,000–£5,000 for Charities in the UK

Applications are now open for the Kent Community Energy Grant Program.

The KCE Community Fund is resourced out of the surplus generated from operation of the KCE Orchard II Solar Farm.

Objectives
  • Promotion of low-carbon energy
  • Reduction of energy poverty
  • Increasing energy efficiency
  • Promotion of sustainable lifestyles
  • Protection of the local environment
Funding Information
  • In 2024 they are seeking to distribute a further £15,000 or more as grant awards.
  • Charities are invited to apply for grants in the range of £3000 to £5000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant charities must be registered and in good standing with the Charity Commission.
  • The beneficiaries of the grant funded project activities must reside in the Kent County Council area.
  • KCE will favour grant applications from smaller charities (annual turnover less than £50,000).
  • Ideally the grant should cover the total cost of the project, or a well-defined part of a larger project.
