Knorr-Bremse Global Care has announced a call for project proposals for chosen countries to allocate its funds in the most transparent and targeted way.
Knorr-Bremse Global Care dedicates itself to fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals, especially to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
Based on SDG 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation, Knorr-Bremse Global Care aims to support projects that
- Improve access to safe and affordable drinking water (6.1);
- Improve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene (6.2);
- Increase water-use efficiency and ensure sustainable withdrawals and supply of freshwater to address water scarcity (6.4), and
- Strengthen participation of local communities in improving water and sanitation management (6b).
Knorr-Bremse Global Care is the non-profit organization funded by the Knorr-Bremse company. Knorr-Bremse Global Care’s mission is to improve the lives of people who are in need through no fault of their own, and to give them a chance to determine their own lives independently.

A total budget of 300,000 EUR is made available only for WASH-projects in the following countries:
