The Active Leeds is seeking applications for its Leeds Sports Club Equipment Grant to enable Leeds sports clubs to re-commence their sport/activity participation to allow more opportunities for people to be active.
The grants are administered by LCC Active Leeds, The grant panel consists of a small panel of LCC, Leeds Sports Federation and Sport Leeds representatives. Please note, this grant is a current replacement for the previous ‘Leeds Sports Grants’ that were administered by Leeds Sports Federation.
Funding Information
- Grants of £100-300 for essential sports equipment only
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit making sports clubs located within Leeds City Council administrative boundary
- Priority will be given to applications seeking to increase physical activity participation in underrepresented groups. This includes clubs located in areas of higher deprivation, people with a disability, of a BAME community, and females – within these groups, young people will also be prioritized
- Evidence of need for a grant must be submitted by telling us about how your club plans to re-start and develop its participation following lockdown.
- Club account details must be provided (personal accounts will not be accepted).
- No application will be considered if the applicant has already incurred the expenditure that constituted the grant claim.
- Purchase of equipment must not be made until notification of grant award. If granted, recipient clubs may be asked to provide receipts / evidence of all purchases which must not pre-date the date of grant notification. This evidence must be presented within 3 calendar months of the date of the award and failure to do so may hinder future applications.
