Applications are now open for the Makakikedaa Grant: Ontario Indigenous Youth Partnership Project to create a community of celebrated Indigenous youth leading work that responds to the dynamic needs and priorities of their communities.
Funding Information
- Grant Amount: Projects can request $1000-$5000 & up to $10 000 in strong cases
Eligible Projects
- To apply your project should meet the requirements below:
- Your project is led by passionate and committed Indigenous youth (ages 12-35)
- Your project will contribute to a healthy community, having meaningful benefits to people and the environment
- Your project will benefit a community in Ontario
- You have identified the resources needed to successfully complete the project including financial and other types of support
- You are looking for funds between $1000 – $5000 (and up to $10 000 in strong cases).
- You are open to participating in the OIYPP annual gathering to learn from and with other youth led projects, supporters and mentors
Eligibility Criteria
- First Nation, Metis and Inuit Youth Groups and individuals ages 12-35 in Ontario are eligible to apply.
- Applicants are required to speak to their Indigenous Identity and Community.
