The Mental Health Ireland is accepting applications for its Mental Health Grants for Community & Voluntary Agencies 2022 to promote positive mental health and to support people in recovery from mental health challenges.
They recognise and value the work done within a local communities by groups who make that special effort to improve mental health and wellbeing, create community connection and instil hope.
Funding Information
- The organisation can apply for more than one project but the project(s) will have to be within one single application. You will need to upload the relevant documents, including the cost breakdown for each project, and total the amount applied for cannot exceed the combined maximum of €30,000.
- Grants awarded will be between €5,000 and €30,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Once-off grants can create certain opportunities but are not suited for all project types and other funding mechanisms are available for larger agencies.
- This Grant Scheme is only available to smaller Registered Charities, with an annual turnover of less than €2 million and is for a project with ‘once off’ expenditure and no recurring funding requirements.
Terms and Conditions
- It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that they meet all tax obligations at the time of application. Failure to do so will deem an application void.
- Applicants must declare any actual or perceived Conflict of Interest in the supply of materials, products, goods or services that are funded wholly or in part by the grant approved for the organisation.
- Funding cannot be used to employ staff. Grant funding may only be applied to programme development costs, consumables, equipment, minor capital works, or time-defined, single pass initiatives.
- The applicant is responsible for risk assessment, health and safety assessment, safeguarding, public liability insurance and all other liabilities relating to the project or programme.
- The applicant must provide indemnity to Mental Health Ireland in respect of any and all actions, activities and engagements undertaken by or emanate from the grant provided under this scheme.
- Please confirm that all activities will be delivered within the Public Health / Covid-19 Guidance in place at time of project delivery
- Decision of the Application Review Panel is final
- Incomplete Applications will not be accepted
- Any cost incurred for the application process is incurred by the applicant
- All applicants are subject to be audited
- Mental Health Ireland may use external auditors
- Successful applicants who are awarded a grant of any size must keep all expenditure receipts / purchase invoices
