Deadline: 30-Jun-25
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are invited to submit proposals for a new partnership opportunity that aims to strengthen the inclusion of refugee children in formal education settings. This initiative focuses on both formal and non-formal education activities, making use of the existing EduTech Labs facilities in Moldova, particularly in Raionul Calarasi.
The project builds upon previous efforts to establish and operationalize EduTech Labs. These labs have been instrumental in creating safe and inclusive educational environments where refugee children and adolescents can access learning, psychosocial support, and recreational activities. Special attention is given to children with special education needs (SEN) and disabilities (CWD).
The key goal of this program is to ensure that refugee children continue to benefit from tailored support services within schools that host EduTech Labs. Selected implementing partners will work closely with school authorities to develop and manage daily activity schedules that enhance learning and integration.
Partners will also be responsible for training and coaching teachers and facilitators operating the EduTech Labs. Ongoing quality monitoring will ensure that activities meet educational and inclusion standards, and that refugee children attend and benefit from the services provided.
One of the main priorities is supporting the transition of refugee children into Moldova’s formal education system. The project aims to help schools institutionalize refugee inclusion strategies so that these efforts can continue even after the end of the 2025/2026 academic year. This will involve developing and executing a clear phase-out strategy for the EduTech Labs.
To be eligible, CSOs must be legally registered both in their country of origin and in Moldova. They must not appear on any United Nations Security Council sanctions lists. Proposals must be submitted exclusively through the UN Partner Portal (UNPP) before the specified deadline.
